Cedar City

Shane and I went on a mini vacation last weekend, just the two of us. We had some really great friends of ours keep Gaige for the weekend. So I was a little anxious because it was the first time leaving Gaige over night, and I left him for two nights. But he did great. He didn't have any problems. I'm the one that had the problems. If I didn't stay busy I was telling Shane that I missed my baby. I called him twice a day just to check in. But thank you very much Jessica and Hank. We really needed the vacation. We are so lucky to have you guys as great friends. I never worried once.

This is our room and our great jet tub. This I put to good use.

Anyway we went to Cedar City Utah, for the Shakespearean Festival. We had a blast. We dropped Gaige off Friday afternoon, and headed out of town. We checked into our Bed and Breakfast and that night we went to the movies to see Dark Night. By far the best Batman movie ever. Saturday morning we were up early for breakfast. Served downstairs in the dining room. So we ate breakfast with a bunch of strangers. But it was fun conversation getting to know these people for a short while. Then it was off to the mountains for a little hiking. We hiked all around Cedar Breaks. It was beautiful by the time we were almost done hiking it started to rain. And the temp dropped to 57. This I was not prepared for, I was freezing. I was in short sleeves and the wind was blowing. I was running back to the car with teeth chattering.

This is a pond that we hiked to, the water was so clear you could see the very bottom. I have never seen water this clear.

Saturday night we went to a Shakespeare play called Taming of the Shrew. It was great the actors did such a wonderful job.

It was a well needed break for us and time that we needed as a couple. You forget how important that time is until you have it.
