Our new blog

Hey Guys

We started a blog in hopes that we could keep everyone updated on what is going on with us. Gaige just turned 5 months old on September 27th. Man how the time flies. It has gone by so fast. Today I was going to put a pair of shoes on him that we got from a baby shower. He has worn them before but not for a while. When I held his foot up to them, they were too small. He has grown and changed so much and so fast. It makes me sad that it has gone by so fast, but at the same time it is fun to see him change and achieve new things. He is trying very hard to sit up and roll over, but gets very angry when he gets stuck trying to roll over. He does not want to lay down to take a bath anymore. He wants to be up and playing. He grabs everything that is within reach, so nothing is safe. But it is so great being able to stay home with him. There is no where that I would rather be. Shane is doing great. He has gone back to Valet at the Orleans Hotel and Casino for now, until one of the many police departments that he has applied to finishes all of the rigorous testing. Gaige and I flew down to Texas at the beginning of September. It was the first time for most of my family to see Gaige. I got to see my new nephew for the first time. For those of you that don't know, my sister, a friend of ours that we grew up with, and I were all pregnant at the same time. My nephew, Jeremiah, was the first born out of the three, he was born on April 10th, Ammon was the second born on April 13th, and Gaige was born on April 27th. It has been great being able to share the special moments together. Also on my moms side of the family there have been a number of new babies. There will be seven new great grandkids by the end of November for my Grandpa Chapman making the grand total of great grandkids 19. But anyway back to our trip to Texas

It was the first time for Gaige to fly. He did very well. He didn't cry at all coming or going. I had a lot of fun showing him off. I think that his grandparents and Aunt Amy did as well. Gaige also went to his first pep rally and football game. At the pep rally we sat right next to the band. I was very surprised it did not bother Gaige at all; he actually started to fall asleep. At the football game he did fall asleep, even with all the cheering going on around him. When we got home Shane was very glad to see us. I think that he was worried that Gaige might start to forget who he was, being away from him for so long. But Gaige was very excited to see his dad, when he first saw him he start kicking his little legs like a crazy man.

Gaige is in the blue and red, Jeremiah (belongs to my sister Brooke in the turquoise) is in the yellow, Ammon (belongs to Jessica in the light blue) is in the blue and white. In the next picture is my two nephews. Joseph is 3 years old. Anyway hope that you all enjoy our new blog feel free to leave us comments.
